WE’VE RE-IMAGINED
THE PHONEBOX…
…AND RENAMED
IT ‘THE KIOSK’

A new name that reflects how much more our new kiosk can do.

Our kiosk is beautifully designed and superbly functional.

Not just a simple to use telephone for anyone without access to a mobile, but a telephone that accepts credit/debit cards, contactless and even good old cash.

A kiosk that also offers easy access for people with mobility impairment, as well as Freephone functionality to charities and local care providers.

And a kiosk with high speed Wi-Fi for all.

Our kiosk delivers a modern and vital public service, and one that the council doesn’t have to pay for, but which they can be just as proud of.

WIFI: INTERNET
FOR EVERYONE

Each kiosk is connected to free public high speed fibre optic by the powerful Virgin network.

There’s a large, bright easy to read LCD screen for internet access, as well for the interactive local maps. Users can also connect their own handheld devices to the internet when close to the kiosk and take advantage of the high speed service at no cost.

PAYPHONE:
COMMUNICATION
FOR EVERYONE

Our kiosks are ergonomic, well- designed and strongly built with specially designed components and durable and easily cleaned surfaces. They’re able to take whatever the urban environment might throw at them.

And every two weeks they will be washed and maintained by us, at no cost to the council, so that they always work just as they should and present a clean, efficient image.

The large interactive LCD screen also displays local wayfinding maps, as well as regularly updated useful information.

It’s useful to both locals and visitors, as well as an active sales driver for local businesses.
Another tangible benefit the council can bring to the community it serves.

CLEANER
STREETS
FOR ALL

A street free of clutter is a street with a fresher feel with open vistas and a friendlier aspect.

We will be removing all of the old phoneboxes and replacing them with trees close by. We’ll also be putting in far fewer new phoneboxes, and only at locations where they will be most useful and effective to locals and visitors.
